The Scroll by Jeffrey and Gansky.
This book is different from others I have read lately. It is about a biblical archaeologists who is excavating treasures in Israel. This time the search is to find artifacts that would be part of the temple that was destroyed when the Romans came and took over. Additionally, the main archaeologist, David, has lost his faith in God. This last dig helps him to come to terms with the reasons that he lost his faith and to find a way to reconnect with God. There is lots of intrigue as there are many that do not want the artifacts to be found. They are willing even to resort to murder to prevent the dig from being successful. It gives a bit of insight into conditions in Israel. This was a very good book and very suspenseful. I couldn't put it down.
The author, Grant Jeffrey, is one of the leading authorities on biblical prophecy. If you would like to know more about him - here is a weblink: click here.
