Well, we were suppose to go to Great America today but yesterday we discovered a very major leak in the pipes under the kitchen sink. It needed to be fix right away. So I had to stay home and call a plumber. Kids are very sad but as it turns out - it is not very nice outside anyway. Kind of cold and very cloudy. We haven't had any major storms yet - just drops of rain here and there. Still, it is just not a nice looking day. To the kids though, it is only a minor consolation.

Oh that is a bummer! And the kids don't understand those pesky little setbacks.

Yes it was sad for the kids. My oldest two kind of rolled with it but the 6 year old was just devastated. I felt so badly for him but a flood in the kitchen was not an option either. Actually it wasn't the kitchen that was affected - mostly it was running down the wall into the basement. We just didn't need major damage to the walls. Now that is a major job to fix. As it is we caught the problem in time and now it is fixed. Now we are trying to see if Great America can be rescheduled or not. We have tickets from a reading program that expire as of the end of this week.
