Today my son turned his laptop computer on and we realized that the computer and the screen is going, going, not yet gone! If you hold the top and push on it - the connection is there but otherwise there is no picture on the screen.
The laptop is 7 months old. Yep, how is that for fine American technology. It made is a whole 7 months. It is covered under warrantee - (and my comment is that since it is a lemon because the part should not have broken in 7 months - they should forget their warrantee and just replace the computer - it is a lemon). So it will take 5 days for them to fix it and return it. Thankfully, it happened now and not once school gets rolling. Still, it is only 7 months old and should be made better to last longer than 7 months.

Fixed.... under warranty and they replaced the entire LCD.
ACK! I hate it when those types of things happen.
Yes it is frustrating but at least it was under warranty. I have also had things go on a computer a few months after the warranty expired and that just makes me angry!
