Wow another powerful book by Richard Paul Evans.
This one is one of his older books that I just hadn't read yet!
I loved it. Great story. Well written and a fabulous ending.
Robert Harlan is the main character in the story and it begins with a flashback to show you what led up to his downfall. The downfall is the story that we hear in the news alot lately. He hit the big time, became famous but in the process lost his way, forgot his values. Forgot what in life is really important, who is really important. There is just a wonderful twist at the end that makes the whole book worth reading. In the end he learns that "each day is a miracle unearned." p. 273
