The BOOT
My husband woke up with the flash when I took the picture -- and he looked at me in horror - and said, "you aren't taking pictures of me sleeping, are you??" Nope, just your foot! This is the boot he needs to wear to keep the foot safe from getting banged around. The boot is huge and heavy. But needed for protection. He can still feel it when it gets bumped though.

Okay...I have to go ahead and get the laugh out of the way (ha/ha)! That was funny about your husband waking up and wondering if you'd been snapping shots of his sleeping self! Honestly though, I laugh because I DO take pics of my family like that! I once videoed (sp?) my sleeping husband when he had a VERY BAD sinus infection, tonsills and adenoids all swollen, and he couldn't breathe very well. He snored so badly and he sounded like a mountain lion or something (bless his heart). He was not very happy with me!!! (But I still have the video...and I have not uploaded it to youtube or anything!)
Now, on a more serious note...
So glad to hear that Tom is on the road to recovery (scary situation for a while with the fever, I'm sure). I am praying for you all. And praying that, as you put it, "that you will adjust to the role changes with grace."
Btw, what was the latest update on your son's broken thumb? Did I miss that? I'll have to go back and look at your posts again.

I thought it was a stitch too! Really honey that wasn't a flash!!! My husband snores too and denies it --- I have often threatened that I will tape him so he can really hear how loud he is. I never had to do that though as he ended up doing a sleep study --- and is diagnosed with sleep apnea. They heard him snore - it is now part of his medical record - he can no longer deny it! Now when he starts snoring he gets the tap, tap, please put your mask on!
