We have hit upon a new stage in the healing --- I call it the grumpy gus stage.
Tom is just depressed with not being able to move and the whole situation has him very down. Very down.
We have tried to cheer him up but nothing seems to really work or help right now. It is understandable that it is hard to be laid up --- that can be depressing - especially when the weather is just starting to be nice around here.
On the other hand --- I also believe it is all in how you look at things - is your glass half full or half empty? Instead of being upset by the confinement - be excited to do all the things that ya never get around to doing. Personally, I have a stack of books to get to, I have two years of photos to scrapbook, I would love to have time to do lesson plans and be all prepared for next year - and I would love to have time to just finish up all the stuff for reporting to NAHRS for this year.
Hopefully, he will start looking at what he can do and accomplish with this time of confinement and not just focus in on the 'confinement'. Plus positive people heal faster! It is true. So pray for his outlook. I do know and understand this is hard but he needs (for his own well being) to be happier.
